Raz Romagna

Raz Romagna was founded in Alfonsine, in the province of Ravenna, rooted in a long-standing family farming tradition. “Ràz” in the Romagnol dialect means “rocket” and is the nickname that has always been used to describe the Guerra family. Grandfather Bruno, known by everyone as “‘e règan,” meaning “the hurricane,” already reflects the character of a dynamic family, deeply connected to the land and able to face challenges with energy and determination. In the summer of 2023, a violent tornado struck these lands, forever changing the story of the winery. Vineyards, buildings, and equipment were devastated, but from that destruction a new vision was born: to rebuild, to start again, and to create wines that tell the story of the courage to never give up.

The production philosophy of Raz Romagna is based on a balance between innovation and respect for nature. The estate covers about 40 hectares of land, over 12 of which are dedicated to vineyards, with both native and international grape varieties such as Trebbiano Romagnolo, Albana, Pinot Bianco, and Merlot. Vineyard management follows careful and non-invasive farming practices, prioritizing actions tailored to the actual needs of the plants and the soil. The use of modern machinery is integrated with a sustainable vision aimed at preserving the natural balance of the land. The grapes are harvested and processed very quickly, and the desire to control every stage of production has led the winery to also manage bottling in-house.

Raz labels stand out for their strong territorial identity and a direct, vibrant style. The wines are crafted to be honest expressions of the grape variety, with clean and recognizable aromatic profiles. The whites, such as those made from Trebbiano and Albana, open with notes of fresh fruit, citrus, and floral nuances, supported by a pleasant tension and marked freshness. These are wines designed to be enjoyed with ease, yet capable of deeply expressing the territory from which they come. Straightforward, lively, and authentic wines that immediately convey the true soul of Romagna
