Perfect to give as a giftWhiskey Single Malt 18 YO is a Scotch from the west coast of Scotland, on the lush and wild island of Jura. It is aged in selected ex-Bourbon oak barrels and in barrels that contained Bordeaux Grand Cru wines, revealing a very intense, complex and evolved profile, with rich notes of cocoa, wild berries, sweet spices, honey and light smoky nuances
The 18-Year-Old Single Malt Whisky from Isle of Jura is presented in the classic and recognizable bottle with its original ergonomic shape, robust and very shock-resistant, always used by this brand from the Hebrides and specially designed to protect the precious distillate during long sea journeys. It is a label particularly suitable for those who love evolved, complex, and elegant spirits, which propose the classic profile of Hebridean Whiskies, characterized by the peaty and saline aromas typical of the territory.
The 18-Year-Old Single Malt is a Whisky of great personality, which well expresses the elegant style of the Isle of Jura distillery. Produced on an almost uninhabited island, in a small village along the steep and rocky coast, it is born in a place particularly suited for making excellent distillates. The oceanic, briny, and windy climate is ideal for aromatic maturation, and the water that flows down from the island's wild mountains ensures extraordinary purity. The distillations take place in large copper stills, following the oldest practices of the Scottish art. Once the production process is completed, the Whisky matures for a full 18 years in American oak barrels previously used for Bourbon and concludes the aging with a period in barriques where the Grand Crus Classés red wines from Bordeaux age.
The 18-Year-Old Single Malt Whisky is one of the jewels of the Isle of Jura distillery. It is a bottle for connoisseurs who love long-aged spirits, marked by a peaty note. In the glass, it presents an ancient gold color with brilliant amber reflections. The aromatic profile is particularly broad and complex, with scents of candied fruit, citrus peel, ripe tropical fruit, honeyed and caramel softness, malty hints, nuances of cinnamon and oriental spices, smoky memories, aromas of bitter cocoa, noble woods, and roasting. The entry on the palate is soft and seductive, with a dense and enveloping sip, The rich aromatic facet leads to a harmonious and very persistent finish.
