The Port Askaig 'Cask Strenght' Single Malt Scotch Whisky is characterized as a whisky from the Scottish island of Islay typically intense and bold, a character further emphasized by the fact that this scotch is a 'Cask Strength', bottled without dilution at its original alcohol content. What distinguishes the Islay territory and, consequently, the properties of the whiskies produced here is certainly the presence of extensive peat bogs, used to impart the peculiar smoky sensations to the distillate. This is complemented by the constant presence of briny sea winds, which also influence the characteristics of the whisky.

The 'Cask Strength' Port Askaig Single Malt Scotch Whisky is produced with pure barley malt combined with the soft, peaty water from the island of Islay. The distillation process of the malt ferment occurs in traditional discontinuous Pot Still stills, while for the subsequent aging, 75% American oak barrels and 25% toasted oak barrels are used.previously used for Bourbon maturation. This whisky is the result of a selection of no more than 60 barrels and is bottled without dilution and cold filtration and without added colorants.

The color of the Port Askaig 'Cask Strength' Single Malt Scotch Whisky is bright golden yellow. The nose is intoxicated by rich and complex aromas of white fruit, lemon zest, salt, black pepper, toasted bread, and dried spices, all completed by vivid peaty and smoky notes.
