The Whisky Blended Yamazakura is a very elegant and delicate Japanese spirit, with a smooth and silky touch, produced from corn and barley malt and aged in ex-Bourbon oak barrels. It springs off sweet and subtle nuances of honey, vanilla and grilled bread and it has a delicate, linear and warm taste, with a good persistence

The Whisky Blended Yamazakura is produced by the Japanese distillery Sasanokawa Shuzo, already famous at home in the most traditional sectors of sakè and shochu. Whisky production began in the post-war period and quickly reached excellent quality levels, earning appreciation abroad from the most demanding connoisseurs. The success of Sasanokawa Shuzo's labels stems from artisanal mastery and the use of premium raw materials. The purity of the spring waters and the quality of the peat used in the production process, combined with competent precision in distillation, yield bottles of absolute value. The Blended Whisky is particularly loved for its fine and delicate profile, which moves in the slightly peated stylistic wake inspired by Islay.

The Blended Yamazakura is a label that already in its name (yama-mountain and sakura-cherry) aims to emphasize the peculiar traits and the bond with its territory of origin. It is produced only with carefullyselected, made up of a blend of corn (80%) and barley malt (20%). Once the distillation process is completed, it matures for a period of 16 years in American oak barrels, previously used to age Bourbon. A choice that gives the Whisky an elegant aromatic richness and a particular taste softness.

This excellence from Sasanokawa Shuzo stands out especially for its silky expressive finesse, highly appreciated by true connoisseurs. On the nose, it opens with fresh citrus aromas, hints of vanilla and coconut, on an olfactory background texture that recalls delicate toasted notes, soft spices, and hints of licorice root. The sip is harmonious, with an aromatically coherent mouthfeel and a finish of good persistence and length.
