The Vodka 'Stoli Gold' from the historic Russian distillery Stolichnaya is a pure and smooth vodka distilled in Russia but filtered and bottled in Riga, Latvia. The name of the company literally translates to "capital", as it derives from the term "stolica" which means "state capital".
Stolichnaya 'Stoli Gold' Vodka is made from wheat and rye, which are first ground and mixed with artesian well water before being fermented for about 60 hours with the help of selected yeasts. Subsequently, the grain mash is distilled three times in a multi-column system. What particularly characterizes this Vodka is the filtering technique: the liquid is initially filtered through a precious carbon-based stone, originating from the northwest of Russia, called "schungite", and then a second filtration is performed using precious coils of gold wire, hence the name "Stoli Gold".
The Stolichnaya 'Stoli Gold' Vodka has a crystalline color, while the nose recalls subtle and delicate aromas of orange peel and anise. The taste is warm, full, and creamy, characterized by spicy and toasted notes, as well as sweet hints of cream, vanilla, and granulated sugar.
