ArtisanalThe Vino Rosso da Litro is produced by the Sette winery, a Piedmontese winery operating in Nizza Monferrato. The vines that create this label are between 20 and 80 years old and are located on soils composed of limestone, gypsum and grey marl, at an altitude of approximately 280 metres above sea level. Velvety and with a long persistence, the Litre Red Wine is characterised by fruity notes of currant and raspberry, spicy hints of black pepper and slight earthy hints. The Red Wine from the Sette winery in Piemonte is characterized as a wine with a convivial and carefree nature, attributes emphasized both by the one-liter bottle format and the crown cap. The Sette estate is located on the hills of Nizza Monferrato, where partners Gianluca, Gregorio, and Gino manage about 6 hectares of vineyards mainly dedicated to the traditional varieties of the area, such as Grignolino, Moscato Bianco, and, above all, Barbera. The winery's production philosophy is based on conscientious agronomic management that respects the health of the environment, as well as genuine and never invasive winemaking practices. The winemaking approach excludes any fixed protocols or rules, with the sole intention of providing the most true and vibrant expression of the territory.
Sette Red Wine from the Liter is produced using only red grapes cultivated according to the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture. Following the harvest, which is carried out strictly by hand, the bunches are pressed in stainless steel tanks for the spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in contact with the skins for about 2 weeks. The wine is finally bottled in a one-liter format without undergoing any clarification or filtration.
To the eye, the Sette artisan Red Wine from the Liter shows an intense ruby red hue. From the glass emerge strong fruity aromas reminiscent of red currant and raspberry, accompanied by earthy hints and notes of black pepper. On the palate, it shows a surprising smoothness, as well as a full body and a velvety tannic structure that provide an overall sensation of softness. The persistent finish emphasizes the pronounced fruity sensations previously perceived on the nose.
