The Red Vermouth Superiore "Riserva Umberto" by Ulrich is a spicy drink for meditation or for the end of a meal. A unique label with an austere and charming character that is left to age for 6 months in wooden barrels, which gives it the intensity in color and palate. Round, rich and vibrant the mouthfeel is drinkable and supported by spicy aromas of cinchona and hyssop

The Vermouth Rosso Superiore “Riserva Umberto” Ulrich is produced by the Piedmont distillery Marolo, already famous for its production of excellent quality grappa. The adventure in the world of Vermouth and liqueurs began in 2016 and was born from the desire to recover some ancient recipes from the 19th century, created by the botanist Domenico Ulrich, a pioneer in the selection and processing of aromatic herbs, especially from Piedmont. An excellence that translates into Vermouth, the spiced wine of the Turin tradition, which at the time was the most fashionable aperitif in the city. A philological recovery that today allows us to savor labels with an ancient taste, still made with artisanal passion and attention to quality.

The “Riserva Umberto” Ulrich is a Vermouth Rosso Superiore that has been reborn thanks to the love for the territory and its traditions of the Distilleria Marolo of Alba. Founded in the 1970s, it quickly established itself as an excellence of the Langhe land, with a production of grappa of high quality, also thanks to the availability of excellent quality nebbiolo pomace from the local wineries of Barolo and Barbaresco. The Vermouth, created in Turin in 1786 by Antonio Benedetto Carpano, has recently entered the company’s production thanks to the ancient recipes of Ulrich. It is still made today according to the guidelines codified by its creator and also follows the recent regulations of Vermouth di Torino, introduced in 2017. The raw material is red wine from Piemonte, enriched with an infusion of herbs, barks, and spices, among which stand out cinchona, artemisia, and hyssop. At the end of maceration, it is aged for a period of six months in wooden barrels and bottled with only the addition of alcohol and sugar.

The Vermouth Rosso Superiore "Riserva Umberto" Ulrich is a label from Distilleria Marollo that brings to light and enhances an excellence of the past, which risked being irreparably lost. It is a bottle that transports us to the dazzling atmospheres of the Belle Époque. Visually, it presentsamber in color with bright mahogany reflections that enliven its appearance. Elegant and intense, it reveals itself to the nose with intoxicating aromas of oriental spices, medicinal herbs, floral nuances, aromas of small red berry fruits, balsamic hints, and a winey background. Complex and enveloping, it offers a rich and deep sip, with a very persistent finish.
