From our sommeliers

Vermentino by Rocche del Gatto is a white wine with an intense and constantly evolving character in the bottle, produced with maceration on the skins for 20 days and aged in steel. It has a marine and Mediterranean bouquet of citrus, aromatic herbs and resin. The sip is round, full and rich, supported by a good freshness and a lively full territorial flavor

maceration gives greater thickness and depth. An orange wine in every sense, resulting from work in the vineyard where man should not intervene but only accompany nature. Fermentation occurs only thanks to indigenous yeasts, and after completing malolactic fermentation, the liquid rests for a few months in steel before bottling.

The Vermentino wine presents itself in the glass with an enchanting golden yellow that shifts towards the color of copper. The nose is a dive into the sea of Liguria, where among salty hints and spontaneous scrub, a truly fascinating puff of hydrocarbons can be glimpsed in the background. The sip reveals a rich and generous wine, enlivened by a very slight tannic friction resulting from the maceration on the skins, to be enjoyed with a fish soup or a stew for the ultimate peace of the senses. A unique piece of craftsmanship, a must-have in the cellar.
