The Velo Clos Santa Ana is a label dedicated to a public of enthusiasts and curious connoisseurs always in search of something new and original, that can amaze the senses and reveal a new facet of the fascinating world of wine. It is not a wine for everyone. It is, in fact, an atypical white made with the Solera Method, which is usually employed in Jerez for the production of fortified wines with very long aging. This small Chilean winery wanted to revive this ancient Andalusian tradition and transport it under the shadow of the Andes, to create a wine capable of offering rich and evolved aromas of dried fruit, spices, and aromatic herbs, making its tasting experience absolutely unique. The white Velo Clos Santa Ana is a wine that highlights the great winemaking culture and historical knowledge of the wine world of this small Chilean reality. Clos Santa Ana is located in the Colchagua Valley area, among the most vocated in Chile. The climate is characterized by strong thermal excursions, due to the proximity of the Pacific Ocean and the peaks of over 6000 meters of the Andes mountains. The soils are very suited, with volcanic and alluvial lands. The estate covers just over one hectare and is managed according to the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture, in perfect harmony with a still wild landscape. The wine is the result of three grape varieties, Chardonnay, Pinot Nero, and Riesling, which are processed separately. At the end of the harvest, the clusters of the different varieties are pressed separately and the musts are vinified in white with classic alcoholic fermentation. The aging takes place in wooden barrels with the Solera Method, which gives the wine complexity and aromatic richness.

The wine Velo Clos Santa Ana is an intense and dense blend, which reveals the mature and evolved face of whites made using the Solera Method. It presents itself with an ancient gold color, slightly veiled, with delicate amber reflections. The aromatic profile is particularly intense, complex, and enveloping, with aromas of soft Eastern spices, of candied citrus peel, ginger, medicinal herbs, ripe yellow fruit, hints of honey, quince jelly, woody nuances, and slightly oxidized. Broad and satisfying, it has a harmonious and deep sip, with a remarkable aromatic persistence, which closes on fresh and savory notes.
