Tinta e Alicante from Quinta do Pessegueiro winery is a red wine made with Tinta da Barca and Alicante Bouschet grapes, two very compatible varieties. After the first alcoholic fermentation the wine is placed in oval vats of cement where malolactic fermentation takes place and where it is aged for 12 months. A perfect combination, rich and balanced, with hints of fruit jam and some vegetable hints
late maturation of the grapes, for complex and characterful wines, while the continental climate features hot, dry summers and humid, cold winters, although the vineyards are protected from oceanic influence by mountain ranges. The grape harvest is manual and involves an immediate selection of the best clusters; alcoholic fermentation and malolactic fermentation take place in steel and it ages for 12 months in cement.that it offers.that it offers.
