The “Terzavia VS” is sicilian sparkling wine that is very rich. It is produced according to the traditional method from white wine vinified in barrique, with adding of Vecchio Samperi befor the second fermentation in bottle. Intense and complex scents of candied and dried fruit, with woody and oxidative notes, are combined with a lively freshness.

The Sparkling Classic Method Extra Brut “Terzavia VS” by Marco De Bartoli is a complex and multifaceted Sicilian sparkling wine, a seductive intertwining of fresh and dried fruit, toasting, and oxidative notes. Marco De Bartoli is a name that, like few others, is identified with the winemaking history of a place, as he has been the true proponent of the revival of Marsala, a wine undervalued by productions aimed merely at quantity that have devalued its enormous potential. Today, it is the children Josephine, Renato, and Sebastiano who continue the path traced by their father, with a production that is not limited to Marsala, but also includes still wines and sparkling wines of great depth and definition, just like this reserve. Grillo and Catarratto are accompanied by Zibibbo and Perricone, the latter two varieties typical of Pantelleria where the De Bartoli family owns some vineyards and produces one of the greatest Italian passitos. An institution.

The Sparkling “Terzavia Cuvée VS” is a classic method obtained from white grapes and from vineyards over 25 years old. In the vineyard, operations are conductedwith the utmost respect for the environment and nature, limiting human intervention and proceeding with a rigorous manual harvest. In the cellar, spontaneous fermentations of the base wines continue, partly in steel tanks and partly in oak barrels. After a year of aging, blending and refermentation in the bottle occurs according to the classic method, with aging of at least 18 months on the lees.

The Extra Brut "VS" sparkling wine presents itself in the glass with a splendid golden and sunny appearance, which captivates right away. The nose is deep and layered, rich in suggestions ranging from dried fruit to chestnut honey, from citrus to Mediterranean scrub. The tasting reveals a filling yet vital wine, thanks to a precise and integrated contribution of freshness and salt. One of the most interesting classic methods in Italy, as well as a unique tasting experience!
