The Trento Extra Brut Spumante ‘Riserva Lunelli’ from the renowned production house Ferrari represents a fine and elegant sparkling wine made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes, an emblematic variety for the estate. This bottle, launched with the 2002 vintage, belongs to the ‘Riserve’ line, which includes the most prestigious labels produced from the best grapes processed by the winery. Additionally, the maturation in wood of the base sparkling wine gives this vintage further complexity and structure.
Ferrari Trento Spumante Extra Brut ‘Riserva Lunelli’ comes from a careful selection of Chardonnay grapes grown in the vineyards owned by the Lunelli family, at the foot of the mountains of Trentino. The clusters are harvested entirely by hand and then softly pressed, with the mass elevated in large Austrian oak barrels. After a few months of resting in the same wine containers, the base sparkling wine is bottled and added with tirage syrup for refermentation according to the Classic Method.The aging on the lees in glass lasts over 6 years, at the end of which the disgorging and the subsequent Extra Brut dosage take place.
