A perfect expression of the Alto Adige territory, it is a Metodo Classico that expresses great finesse and the typical mineral freshness of mountain wines. It is a sparkling wine that immediately captivates with its delicate floral aromas and harmonious fruity notes, characterized by slight spicy nuances. Ideal as an aperitif, it pairs very well with shrimp, scampi, and seafood stews.
The Brut Rosé 'Athesis' is a Metodo Classico produced by a historic Alto Adige winery in the Lake Caldaro area. The Kettmeir winery was founded in 1919 and manages about 55 hectares, a good part of which comes from around sixty small suppliers, who work the vineyard with daily passion and attention. The vineyards are divided into many plots that are mainly located on the first hilly areas above Salorno, in the Lake Caldaro area and in the area of Soprabolzano. The altitude and the significant temperature variations allow for the production of grapes with intense aromas and great freshness, perfect for sparkling wine production using the Metodo Classico. Kettmeier sparkling wines stand out for their precise territorial identity expressed through finesse, elegance, and vibrant tension.
'Athesis' Metodo Classico Brut Rosé from the Alto Adige winery Kettmeir is a Millesimato sparkling wine that originates from a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Nero grapes sourced from vineyards cultivated at an altitude between 450 and 700 meters, on rocky soils primarily of limestone origin. At the end of the harvest, a brief cold maceration is followed by the soft pressing of the grapes. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks, and the second fermentation occurs in the bottle according to the Metodo Classico, with aging on the lees for at least 24 months. In the glass, it presents a pink color with bright coppery reflections. The bouquet offers refined floral aromas, mountain herbs, aromas of small red berries, hints of crust of bread and light spicy nuances. The sip is light and elegant, with a delicate and fragrant fruit, a harmonious finish, and great freshness.
