The Schioppettino di Ronco Severo is an authentic red wine, decidedly territorial and typically varietal that is born on the lands of the "ponca" of the Colli Orientali del Friuli. The nose is governed by a characteristic note of black pepper, declined by rustic sensations of berries and elements of the undergrowth. On the palate it shows structure, elegance and a well-defined tannic plot.

The Schioppettino from Ronco Severo is a straightforward red that originates from the "ponca" soils of the Colli Orientali del Friuli. Stefano Novello, the current owner and winemaker of the Ronco Severo winery, inherited the family agricultural business and has revitalized it. His studies and commitment to the environment have led him to revise cultivation and winemaking techniques to produce wines crafted and respectful of the environment, achieving organic certification. Thanks to his ideologies, Stefano produces sincere, genuine, and rustic nectars, a true expression of the typical terroir of Collio.

To create this Rosso, Stefano uses pure Schioppettino, an indigenous grape of Friuli, once abandoned due to its pronounced hardness and rediscovered only in recent times. The cultivation does not allow herbicides or inorganic fertilizers. The plants grow autonomously following their natural course and with the help of organic fertilizers. The harvest is slightly late to obtain a juicy fruit rich in aromas. The fermentation involves the exclusive use of indigenous yeasts followed by a long maceration on the skins that gives body and thickness to the liquid. The aging takes place in Slavonian oak barrels for 30 months in contact with the noble lees. The bottling does not involve filtration or clarification.

The Schioppettino Ronco Severo presents an intense and deep ruby red color. On the nose, intense and persistent notes emerge such as black pepper, ripe red fruit, and elements of underbrush. Energetic and pleasantly tannic, it shows itself on the palate as structured, spicy, and engaging. Never banal, thanks to the sincerity that Stefano uses to produce his labels. Wines genuine, direct, where banality has no reason to exist to the detriment of a product that is a revelation of elegance and drinkability.
