Artisanal
Organic and biodynamicThe Sangiovese Romagna Bertinoro "Colombarone" from the Tenuta La Viola winery is a red wine that fully represents the Romagna winery and its vineyards, which frame via Colombarone, which rises from the plain to the hill of Bertinoro. A warm and structured red wine, which on the nose expresses the classic deep notes of cherry and berries, accompanied by slight floral nuances of rose and violet and pleasant spicy hints due to the wood aging. On the palate, it is rich and enveloping, very juicy, supported on the finish by a pleasant and refreshing mineral vein
The Romagna Sangiovese Bertinoro "Colombarone" is an expression of Sangiovese succulent and enveloping produced by the family-run winery Tenuta La Viola. It is the calling card of the estate, the first label created by Stefano Gabellini in 1998, born from a selection of grapes from medium-altitude vineyards. This bottle represents an effective introduction to Sangiovese and the territory of Bertinoro, with its unique microclimate and its clay-limestone soils rich in ancient marine sediments. The label depicts via Colombarone, the road that rises from the plain to the hill of Bertinoro among the vineyards owned by Tenuta La Viola.
"Colombarone" Sangiovese di Romagna Bertinoro Tenuta La Viola is a 100% Sangiovese from owned vines cultivated in certified organic farming. The vines are planted in clay and limestone soils at an average altitude of 100 meters above sea level. When the grapes have reached the ideal ripeness, manual harvesting takes place along with careful selection of the bunches in the field. In the winery, alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and in contact with the skins, followed by about 6 months of aging in steel, used barriques, and tonneau. After blending and an additional 6 months of resting in the bottle, the wine is finally marketed.
Intense ruby red with violet reflections is the color of the Sangiovese Romagna Bertinoro "Colombarone" by Tenuta La Viola. The nose evokes deep aromas of cherry and berries, accompanied by floral descriptors of violet and slight spicy and mineral hints. On the palate, it is full and rich, enveloping and juicy, with soft tannins and a persistent slightly savory finish.
