Rum 'Edicion Negra' Zacapa
Rum "Edicion Negra" is produced with a double aging process inspired to the Maya culture in Zacapa's aromatic garden: after blending of fine rums aged from 6 to 23 years, the roum is aged for other 2 years in white oak casks. It is a full-bodied, intense, smooth and complex rum from Guatemala
The Edicion Negra is a Rum with a strong and distinctive personality, the result of a blend of nuances that carries with it the characters and qualities of the different souls that contribute to shaping its spirit. Zacapa indeed reserves a special treatment for this bottle, creating a blend of different Rums characterized by varying aging periods, which, once assembled together, have the opportunity to unite indissolubly during the further maturation period. An label whose secret of success is therefore that of double aging, which helps enrich aromas and flavors with remarkable complexity.
The Zacapa distillery produces this "Edicion Negra" starting from the noblest raw materials, primarily sugar cane, essential for creating a quality product capable of undergoing long evolutions over the years. The processing is carried out using the typical traditional method, and, once distilled, the Rum is blended with other Rums from the distillery, aged from 6 to 24 years. This new The cut is further aged for two years in white oak barrels that previously contained American Whisky and Sherry.
This Rum "Edicion Negra" branded Zacapa presents itself in the glass with a classic amber color, very rich and deep. The bouquet of aromas on the nose is broad and layered, with sensations ranging from toasted notes to candied and dried fruit, in a spiral of very enveloping notes. On the palate, it is decidedly smooth, round, and full-bodied, with an intense and persistent flavor that develops on a sip of woody taste. A Rum that comes from a slow and meticulous production process, and that must be awaited with the right patience: when you taste it, it will reward you with great generosity.
