The "Rosa del Castagno" by Fabrizio Dionisio is an elegant rosé wine made from Syrah grapes, coming from the Cortona wine area, in the province of Arezzo. It has aromas of rose petals and mixed fruit, such as wild strawberries and pomegranate, leaving intriguing peppery notes and mixed spices in the background. On the palate, it is smooth and juicy, with a rich taste perception thanks to its softness, perfectly balanced with its dynamic freshness.

The “Rosa del Castagno” by Fabrizio Dionisio is a juicy and refreshing rosé expression from the territory of Cortona, in the province of Arezzo. Here, the grape variety that has found the greatest election is certainly the Syrah, a native grape of the Rhône valley that became widespread in this Tuscan area in the early 1900s and is now widely cultivated around the world. This bottle is born from a challenge that Fabrizio set for himself, namely to succeed in creating a fresh and enjoyable label especially in youth that would carry with it the varietal identity of Cortona and its Syrah.

Fabrizio Dionisio has thus managed to bottle his Rosa del Castagno Syrah by applying some precautions, such as carrying out a slightly early harvest compared to that for the grapes intended for reds, towards the end of August. All the Syrah used in the winemaking of this label comes from the company's own vineyards where the yields per hectare are very low in favor of a high qualityorganoleptic: the grapes are pressed slowly for a total period of two hours, the time necessary for the pomace to slightly color the must, followed by alcoholic fermentation, carried out at low temperature for 15 days.

Fabrizio Dionisio and the “Rosa del Castagno” therefore represent the modern interpretation of the Syrah grape in Tuscany, here expressed in a light rosé form with amber veins. The aroma of this expression of the Cortona terroir fascinates with its delicacy and elegance, releasing aromatic notes of red roses, wild strawberries, and pomegranate seeds, framed by typical and territorial aromas of black pepper and mixed spices. On the palate, it is soft, rich, and fine, supported by a dynamic freshness that progressively accompanies the tasting, revealing its smooth and tireless drinkability.
