Riesling 'Classic' Hugel 2024
The Riesling Classic by Hugel is one of the highest expressions of the Alsatian winery. It presents itself visually with a greenish yellow dress with intense green hues and on the nose reveals an aromatic and fruity profile with notes of white fruit, lemongrass, pistachio, and vegetal hints of moss. The sip is elegant, easy to drink, and well-structured, with a pleasantly mineral finish
The white Riesling "Classic" produced by the Alsatian winery Hugel is the wine that best represents the territory, with its elegant purity and mineral tension. The best bunches are brought to the winery and gently pressed. The free-run juice is started to fermentation, which takes place partly in wooden barrels and partly in stainless steel tanks, at a controlled temperature of 18-24 °C. The wine is bottled in spring, after a light filtration. In the glass, it presents a straw-yellow color, with subtle greenish reflections. The olfactory profile is refined, with floral aromas, hints of orange blossom, notes of citrus peel, white-fleshed fruit and nuances of aromatic herbs. The taste is salty and vertical, with elegant aromas and a finish characterized by a vibrant mineral freshness.
absolute levels, for finesse, richness and complexity. The Riesling vines are mainly found in locations characterized by steep slopes, stony soils, and excellent exposures, which ensure the full ripening of a late-harvest grape. Thanks to meticulous work in the vineyard and very respectful vinification of the raw material, Hugel manages to produce a Riesling capable of expressing the authenticity of the terroir. The white Riesling "Classic" produced by the Alsatian winery Hugel is the wine that best represents the territory, with its elegant purity and mineral tension.
