The Prosecco Extra Brut by Bele Casel is a straightforward and elegant sparkling wine from Veneto, as only simple wines can be. Very fragrant on the nose, where various fruity nuances stand out, it impresses the palate with a sip of vibrant freshness. A label that tells the love of a family for the Treviso terroir, a sentiment so deeply rooted that it led to the obvious choice of cultivating the vineyards organically, also looking towards the more immediate future with biodynamics, in order to preserve the land and the environment as much as possible. An extremely versatile Prosecco in the kitchen, which is truly hard to resist.
This Extra Brut Prosecco Bele Casel originates from a blend in which, alongside Glera grapes, we also find 5% Bianchetta Trevigiana and 5% Perera. The vines of these varieties grow using organic farming systems, with the double inverted method on the Treviso hills, characterized by a marl and clay subsoil, at about 250/300 meters above sea level. The harvest takes place between September 10 and 30, and the grapes are pressed softly. The must obtained undergoes a static decantation, fermenting in autoclave for 50-70 days, following the production principles of the Martinotti Method. Still in steel autoclaves, the wine rests for 4 months on the fine lees.
The Prosecco from Bele Casel presents itself with a straw yellow color interspersed with some greener reflections; the perlage is fine and persistent. The nose opens with fruity notes, enriched by more vegetal sensations and more mineral hints on the finish. On the palate, it is light-bodied, slender, and smooth, with a dynamic sip from which emerges a pleasantly mineral imprint. The perfect label for all occasions, it shines both during more informal moments, like a lovely outdoor aperitif or by the sea, and at more formal dinners, paired with fish and shellfish dishes.
