Porto Vintage Quinta de La Rosa 2019
The Vintage Port of Quinta de La Rosa is made with the traditional varieties: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Sousão. With a full-bodied, generous and elegant palate, this label is aged for 18 months in wooden barrels, and then aged in the bottle for over 20 years. It spreads intense hints of bitter chocolate, cherry and ripe fruit which are best released after decanting!
The Porto Vintage Quinta de La Rosa is a very versatile fortified wine that can be enjoyed young by those approaching the fascinating world of Porto for the first time, but it can also age very well for several decades with interesting aromatic evolutions. In this case, it is recommended to decant the wine before serving it, perhaps paired with dark chocolate desserts. It presents a dark amber red color with bright reflections. The bouquet is characterized by notes of ripe small berries, sour cherry, cherry in spirits, soft spices, bitter cocoa, hints of toasted noble woods, and roasting. On the palate, it is dense and structured, with fine and evolved tannins, a soft and harmonious sip, a sweet fruit that leads to a long and persistent finish.
and persistent.
