The "Cottage Vineyard" is undoubtedly one of the best Pinot Noir in New Zealand. From the Burn Cottage winery in the Central Otago area, this extraordinary, vibrant wine is produced following artisanal methods, balanced and with fine tannins that give persistence to the palate. With a potential of aging up to 10 years, the nose has floral notes, red cherry followed by hints of tea, earth, and fern.

Cottage Vineyard Pinot Noir is a rare and precious New Zealand label produced by the Burn Cottage winery in Central Otago. The vineyards, located in a picturesque natural amphitheater protected from the winds, are managed according to biodynamic principles, making it the first winery in the area to embrace this production model since its foundation in 2002. The pursuit of balance is the cornerstone of the estate's philosophy, aiming not to contaminate the wine with excessive use of wood or technologies, while also safeguarding the local flora and fauna in a perspective of sustainability and the search for the maximum expressive potential of the territory.

The Burn Cottage Vineyard comes from biodynamically cultivated Pinot Noir vines fertilized using only self-produced organic compost. After manual harvesting, which takes place only when the clusters have reached the perfect degree of ripeness, the grapes are carefully selected and only partially destemmed. The alcoholic fermentation is spontaneous and lasts 20 days, while aging takes place for a few months in barrels of oak only for 20-30% new, in order to not distort the intrinsic characteristics of the wine, which is then bottled without undergoing filtration.

To the eye, the New Zealand Pinot Noir Cottage Vineyard shows an intense red color that anticipates floral and red cherry aromas, well combined with deeper hints of tea, fern, and earth. The palate, refined, vibrant, and well-balanced, reveals high material concentration and a noble tannic structure that provides persistence on the palate. A great and prestigious red that brings to the glass a distant territory that has established itself as one of the countries of excellence in winemaking in the New World.
