Nuits Saint Georges Premier Cru "Clos des Corvées" is a great and amazing expression of Burgundy Pinot Noir made by Prieure Roche, descendant of the Leroys, the co-owner family of the illustrious Domaine de la Romanée Conti. A deep red of aristocratic elegance, played on finesse and harmony, able to express the authentic soul of the noble grape, also through a bouquet typical of the varietal, which spreads aromas of red fruits, plums, sweet spices and toasted hints of wood.

The Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru “Clos des Corvées” from Domaine Prieure Roch is a high-level bottle, an expression of a great terroir and crafted with artisanal passion by a great vigneron. We are in the heart of the Côte de Nuits vineyard, home to some of the most famous and highly regarded Pinot Noir in the world. The estate manages about a dozen parcels between Gevrey-Chambertin and Ladoix, but “Clos des Corvées”, along with “Clos Goillotte”, represents the jewel in the crown of the domaine. A prestigious label to be tasted on a special occasion, dedicated to the finest connoisseurs and aficionados of the nuances of great Burgundy wines.

The “Clos des Corvées” Premier Cru Nuits-Saint-Georges is produced by an estate founded in 1988, but which can count on the experience of a family of winemakers co-owners of the legendary Domaine de la Romanée Conti. Domaine Prieure Roch spans a total of about twenty hectares, divided into numerous parcels located in different areas of the Côte d’Or.The processes are artisanal, with manual harvesting, traditional vinification, often whole cluster, to give character and longevity to the wines. The Pinot Noir grapes come exclusively from the vineyards of the Premier Cru “Clos des Corvées”, a precious monopoly of the domaine, located in the southern area of the municipality of Nuits-Saint-Georges, between Prèmeaux and Prissey. The soils in this area are predominantly composed of silt and limestone-clay marls from the combe des Vallerots and enjoy a beautiful southeast and east-facing exposure. At the end of the harvest, the bunches are sent for spontaneous fermentation using only indigenous yeasts. The wine matures for 24 months in French oak barrels and completes its aging in bottle.

The Premier Cru “Clos des Corvées” from Domaine Prieure Roch Nuits-Saint-Georges perfectly expresses the personality of the wines of the terroir. In these lands, Pinot Noir produces intense and vigorous reds, endowed with good body and supported by an important tannic structure. Precisely for these characteristics, they are deep wines that

need at least 5-6 years of aging to reach full expressive maturity. It presents itself with a dark ruby red color. The bouquet expresses aromas of Morello cherry, red currant, wild strawberries, hints of violet and licorice, notes of underbrush, leather, truffle, and humus. The palate is significant, with a well-present tannic texture, complex, harmonious aromas, and a fresh and persistent finish.
