The Muller Thurgau “MTH” by Andi Weigand is a wine produced with artisanal care, of great vivacity. The mother vines of this wine are a true marvel, the vineyard indeed has an average age of 60 years! This gives a rare complexity and elegance, which is found in the glass. On the nose, yellow fruits are perceived, fragrant citrus and on the finish a typical note of smokiness, almost reminiscent of flint. Fresh and

crisp, a young and easy-drinking wine but also of intriguing complexity

The Muller Thurgau “MTH” by Andi Weigand is born in Iphofen in the Franconia region of Germany. The winery is the result of constant and careful work by a family that has managed to preserve tradition from generation to generation. In 2015, Andi took over the family business, carrying forward the idea that producing wine means giving life to a product in harmony with nature and the territory it belongs to. Andi's continuous desire to experiment has led to the introduction of some changes such as the use of amphorae and a Georgian qvervri.

The grapes of the Muller Thurgau “MTH” by Andi Weigand grow in vineyards with vines about 60 years old. The soil is mainly composed of marl and limestone for wines with a strong and structured character. All the vines are cultivated using a biological and biodynamic regime, believing that following the lunar and natural phases of plant development can give rise to products of impeccable quality. The grapes are harvested by hand and spontaneous fermentations with indigenous yeasts in wood are implemented; it ages for 10 months on the lees, always in wood.

Visually, the Muller Thurgau “MTH” by Andi Weigand presents itself with a straw yellow color with intense golden reflections. On the nose, it releases aromas of white peach, oranges, and lemon with a slight smoky hint on the finish; on the palate, it reveals a decided and intense structure with an overall inviting complexity glass after glass. It pairs excellently with dishes based on shellfish and mollusks; also interesting with fish tartare and fried dishes. A wine with genuine and authentic flavors that reflects the potential of Franconia, dedicated to cheerful gatherings with lifelong friends.
