The "Prologo" by De Fermo is a red wine that originates near the winery, located in the Abruzzo hinterland, capable of providing sapidity, freshness, and a sure evolutionary potential. With a rich and complex olfactory bouquet of red-fleshed fruit, balsamic notes, and aromatic herbs, it presents itself on the palate as energetic, satisfying, and rustic elegance. A red that certainly does not fear the passage of time and has a prosperous and bright future ahead.

The 'Prologo' by De Fermo is a powerful and refined red that displays all the class and complexity of the mythical terroir of the winery, famous for producing some of the greatest wines in Italy and the world, especially thanks to producers with a centuries-old tradition. Although De Fermo is a relatively young project, one cannot help but notice the quality and texture of every liquid produced, enhancing both indigenous and international grape varieties, with one of the most convincing interpretations in the Italian landscape. Wines to listen to, drink, and share: the power of great bottles that unite everyone, from novices to seasoned enthusiasts. Trait d'union.

The 'Prologo' is made from red grapes harvested near the winery, which, located between the Adriatic Sea and Gran Sasso, has chosen a median position to give great character to the wines. All the vineyards grow without the aid of any chemical or synthetic substances and are hand-harvested with careful selection of the grapes. After transporting the grapes to the winery and a light pressing, spontaneous alcoholic fermentation begins in cement containers.and subsequently in large wooden barrels.

This De Fermo ‘Prologo’ presents itself in the glass with a lively and intense ruby red color. An extremely varied and complex nose, immediately traceable to its area of origin. Jammy fruit, marasca, and plum give way to balsamic notes, wild herbs, and black pepper. Then there are graphite, leather, and earth that enrich an already evocative profile. A powerful and classy sip, yet always energetic, thanks to a perfect alternation between extract and freshness. Roaring tannin that marks the rhythm of the sip. Splendid already now, it can even improve with aging in the cellar. We recommend an adequate stock to follow its evolution!
