The Rigoleto by ColleMassari is a young and gastronomic red wine from Tuscany, endowed with energy and structure, matured for 12 months in wood and steel. It is made from Sangiovese, Ciliegiolo and Montepulciano grapes and expresses itself in a fragrant and fruity bouquet and in a fresh, full and pleasantly tannic taste.

The “Rigoleto” by ColleMassari is a Montecucco Rosso that, after the first sips, is truly difficult to resist. A blend of Sangiovese, Ciliegiolo, and Montepulciano, it is a wine with a youthful spirit, enveloping the nose and palate in a whirlwind of balanced aromas, where nothing ever seems out of place. A label that, thanks to this harmony, is also suitable for everyday consumption, never falling into banality, but rather indulging in the luxury of a truly satisfying wine. If we also consider the price, then it becomes clear why this “Rigoleto” is indeed a great deal.

This Montecucco Rosso “Rigoleto” is born from a skillful blend of Sangiovese, which makes up 70% of the final blend, Ciliegiolo, and Montepulciano. These three grape varieties grow within a vineyard located 300 meters above sea level, in a hilly terrain characterized by a calcareous and marly terroir. The grapes, carefully selected during the harvest by the ColleMassari team, ferment alcoholically in steel, macerating for 15-20 days and also undergoing malolactic fermentation. We then proceed with the aging phase, during which the wine remains for 10 months in both steel and barrique and tonneau of second and third passage.

The wine “Rigoleto” is a Montecucco Rosso that presents itself visually with a beautiful ruby red color, definitely enticing. The olfactory profile outlines contours that, from the floral world, shift towards more fruity notes, also enriched by light mineral hints. On the palate, it is full-bodied, broad, and round, with a slim and lively sip, fueled by eager tannins and a pleasant freshness. A bottle with which ColleMassari manages to combine quality and price, presenting itself with truly interesting scores, both nationally and internationally. A must-try, it truly holds a nice surprise.
