Lillet Rosé is the latest spiced wine produced by the maison which, with its fresh and fruity taste, becomes perfect for an all-French vintage aperitif. On the olfactory examination it is characterized by notes of rose, grapefruit, small red fruits and orange peel, with delicate balsamic closures. When tasted, it reveals a solid and soft body, with a sweet envelopment, ending on a spicy finish

Lillet Rosé is the latest gem produced by the Lillet house, founded in 1872 south of Bordeaux by brothers Paul and Raymond. A triumphant story, which began with a simple experiment by two young wine and liqueur merchants and has today, after more than a century and five generations, become a worldwide success. An appealing and vintage line that today consists of three versions of spiced wines (Blanc, Rouge, and Rosé) that symbolize the quintessential French aperitif. The Rosé is the youngest in the family (created in 2011) and reveals a more graceful and delicate profile compared to its “older brothers,” which, when served on the rocks, that is with a bit of ice and a slice of orange, becomes an ideal companion for the aperitif moment. It also proves to be very versatile in the creation of new cocktails or revisited classics, such as the rosé Tonic, the Reverse Martini, and many others.

Thus, Lillet Rosato is the son of a long secular tradition that paved the way for the realization and diffusion of modern spiced wines, spicy, which probably includes Vermouth (even though its history dates back to 1786). Today it has become one of the most important emblems of the French aperitif moment, representing one of the most fascinating and lesser-known pages of French enology. The production phase involves several steps, first searching for the best rosé wines for their organoleptic qualities, then carefully selecting the best botanicals and spices from around the world and allowing them to macerate with alcohol. Then fortification occurs, which means adding flavored alcohol to the wine. Finally, the Rosé, the only one of the three, is bottled directly, without aging in wood, to preserve its original finesse and freshness.

The Rosé Lillet takes on a very pale and bright pink color. On the nose, it is a symphony of delicate fruity notes, floral fragrances, and accents of spices and aromatic herbs. The sip is fine, generous and softly enveloping, with sweet fruity hints and pleasant spicy nuances. Treat yourself to an exclusively French aperitif!
