
L'Atto Cantine del Notaio 2024
L'Atto is a rich and full-bodied red wine made from Aglianico grapes characterized by beautiful notes of red fruits with pleasant spicy hints. It is aged in natural caves of volcanic tuff, in French oak barriques for 12 months.
“L'Atto” by Cantine del Notaio is a version of Aglianico that, without compromising the personality of the grape, is presented in a simple and immediate style. Straightforward and strong, linear and dense, this interpretation of Aglianico brings the King of Vulture to the most convivial and everyday tables. Cantine del Notaio firmly believes in the extraordinary qualities of this variety, which is vinified to highlight its many facets. The Giuratrabocchetti family, owners of the winery located in Rionero in Vulture, has great respect for the plant, its fruits, and the land. For this reason, the fieldwork is inspired by a personal interpretation of organic and biodynamic agriculture. From the latter, Gerardo Giuratrabocchetti learns experimentation and a scientific approach to new agronomic methods.
The harvest takes place manually during the first decade of October. A short maceration and fermentation in steel containers precede the aging phase. This occurs in natural tuff caves.volcanic, where the wine rests for a minimum period of 12 months in barrels or tonneaux of French oak.
The red wine "L'Atto" presents itself in the glass with an intense and bright ruby red color. On the nose, it shows a fruity character of sour cherry and crunchy red fruits, from which a spicy trail reminiscent of white pepper emerges. A very pleasant intertwining of fresh fruit aromas also emerges on the palate. The body is enveloping and soft, but marked by a distinct freshness that makes the sip agile. The tannin is clear, but contributes to the finesse. It is a wine based on Aglianico fragrant, yet dense with personality. A great applause for managing to bring so much soul even in the simplicity of the everyday.
