The "Fiorfiore" Magnum is a Grechetto from Todi with a warm and soft character that stands out as the most symbolic white wine of the winery. After resting in large oak barrels for a year, it displays a rich and layered aromatic profile of tropical fruit, citrus, aromatic herbs, and chamomile. On the palate, it is embracing and sumptuous, with persistent freshness and minerality.

The Magnum “FiorFiore” is among the most expressive and authentic Grechettos of Umbria, considered by the winery as its most representative and symbolic jewel. In fact, just tasting this nectar allows you to truly understand the heights that Grechetto can reach. Enveloping, complex, and fresh, it captivates from the very first sip and hides behind each sip the long work done by the estate. We are talking about the Roccafiore winery, an innovative reality in Todi that since 2000, the year of its foundation, has decided to strongly focus on local grape varieties and, with a respectful and sustainable approach, aims to create Umbrian concentrates that express the territory of origin in the most genuine way possible. Among the various labels offered, this Grechetto from Todi certainly stands out, particularly appreciated abroad and also having great success in Italy, because it perfectly reflects the profile of an undervalued and little-considered grape variety. Moreover, when considering the price at which it is offered and the precious and elegant Magnum format, one cannot really give up tasting it.

The Grechetto “FiorFiore” is born on the green hills surrounding the municipality of Todi from vines cultivated according to the guyot system. The grapes, grown according to the principles of organic farming, are harvested and manually selected in the last months of September. After mechanical pressing and decantation, the must is fermented at controlled temperature with natural yeasts in steel tanks. This is followed by a maturation period in large Slavonian oak barrels of 50hl for about a year. An additional resting in the bottle for 4 months determines its market release.

The Magnum Grechetto Roccafiore presents itself with a deep yellow color with golden hues. It surprises and impresses with an olfactory profile that has a stratospheric intensity and complexity. A light spiciness of pepper opens the aromatic spectrum, which then gives way to notes of tropical fruit, nuances of chamomile, hints of citrus, wild fennel, flowers, and balsamic herbs. A slight iodized and briny touch closes the olfactory frame.
