Grappa di Traminer Segnana

The Grappa di Traminer Segnana is a true ode to the pomace of the grape variety from which it is obtained, that Traminer which ripens so well within the Trentino terroir. The peculiarities of this varietal are all revealed during the olfactory analysis, where exotic fruit and spices play a primary role. On the palate, a refreshing taste dominates the scene, where elegance, softness, and harmony come together to provide a pleasant experience.

This Grappa di Segnana is born from the selection of pomace from Traminer grapes grown in various wine-growing areas of Trentino, located at good heights above sea level, usually over 350 meters. This characteristic, which at first glance may seem insignificant, is actually very important, because this location guarantees a particularly cool climate, with a good temperature range between day and night that allows for the development of intense aromas in each berry. Consequently, the Traminer pomace, which arrives fresh at the Segnana distillery, is filled with fragrances, which thanks to a process of slow distillation – which operates with the discontinuous bain-marie system – are extracted at the peak of their intensity. Once distilled, the Grappa rests and matures for a few months, until it is ready to be bottled. During this operation, the final alcohol content is reduced by using Surgiva water.

The Grappa di Traminer Segnana reveals itself to the eye with a crystalline color, endowed with excellent transparency. Profoundly aromatic on the nose, it recalls the characteristics of the pomace used, with touches where exotic fruit, flowers, and sweet spices – particularly vanilla – alternate gracefully and elegantly. On the palate, it enters with a decidedly captivating, velvety, and harmonious sip, from which a refreshing taste of fruit emerges. The right bottle to spend a cheerful evening with friends!
