Grappa Stravecchia Tenuta San Leonardo - 50cl
The distillate Grappa Stravecchia Tenuta San Leonardo comes from an idea of Anselmo Guerrieri Gonzaga, eager to create an aged Grappa to accompany the already present White one in the range. The entire production cycle is monitored by Master Distiller Bruno Franceschini, from Cavaion Veronese. A full-bodied, aromatic label, with incomparable organoleptic properties, produced only in limited edition: one more reason not to let it slip away!
The Grappa Stravecchia made by Tenuta San Leonardo is born from the pomace of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Carménère, and Merlot. The pomace is fermented, then distilled between October and November, using copper stills that operate with steam, following the discontinuous method. It continues with an aging of 5 years in non-new French oak barriques. At the end of the production process, the Grappa has a remarkable alcohol level, which is why it is diluted with distilled water until the final degree is reached. This is followed by refrigeration for 48 hours at a temperature of 10 degrees and a subsequent filtration; at this point, the Grappa is finally ready to be bottled and put on the market.
The Grappa Stravecchia from Tenuta San Leonardo presents itself to the eye with a decidedly bright, brilliant, and attractive amber color. Elegant is the combination of aromas on the nose, always clear in asserting themselves with dry notes that recall the varietals of the used pomace. It enters the mouth with a captivating, round, and wide sip, characterized by a warm sip with excellent persistence. A precious, refined Grappa, where the magnificent shape of the flask bottle contributes to forging a rich image, ideal for impressing the most passionate friends.
