Grappa di Moscato 'Après' Marolo 5 Anni
“Après” Grappa di Moscato di Marolo 5 Anni is a distillate in which Moscato ideally unites, in a single sip, northern and southern Italy. It obviously comes from the pomace of the grape variety grown in Piemonte, but, at the end of the processing, the Grappa ages in barriques that previously contained another type of Moscato, that of Pantelleria, capable of imparting greater aromaticity and a slightly almond-like flavor. An elegant label, born from a brilliant intuition, which once again testifies to Marolo's clarity in making consistently convincing choices.
“Après” 5 Anni by Marolo is a Grappa di Moscato that originates from the processing of the very fresh pomace of Moscato Bianco, distilled with still pots that operate with steam boilers, slower than industrial continuous de-alcoholizers but able to guarantee greater softness and complexity to the final product. The production process is carefully and attentively monitored by the distillery team. Once the Grappa is obtained, it is transferred to barriques from Sicily, where it previously contained the Moscato of Pantelleria, to refine for a total of 5 years before being bottled and put on the market.
The Grappa di Moscato “Après” by Marolo 5 Anni presents itself to the eye with a golden yellow color, endowed with a particularly bright light and some slight reflections that lean towards the amber tone. The nose is abundant, where fresh sensations of fruit, including candied fruit, mingle with more spicy and toasted notes. On the palate, it has a good body, enveloping and refined, characterized by a floral and fruity taste, decidedly aromatic. A pleasant label, a companion for those evenings when one wants to indulge a little, with a distillate of great quality.
