The London Dry Gin “Premier Cru” Bombay Sapphire is a new version of the most classic label from the famous English distillery. It is a Gin with a typically Mediterranean and sunny character, which from an aromatic point of view focuses on the predominant presence of citrus aromas of lemons, mandarins, and Spanish oranges. A choice that gives the sip a particular freshness and fragrance and a rich softness, which mitigates the dry and essential taste typical of London Dry Gin. It is excellent to taste neat or with ice, or to prepare a refreshing and summery Gin & Tonic.
The London Dry “Premier Cru” Bombay Sapphire, like all Premium Gins, is crafted in small batches with a careful selection of raw materials. The citrus fruits come from the Spanish region of Murcia, for centuries the undisputed homeland of richly flavored lemons, fragrant mandarins, and Navel oranges famous for their sweetness. All the citrus fruits are purchased from local farmers, who sustainably cultivate the land and ensure a supply of healthy and genuine fruits. The citrus fruits are harvested and peeled by hand. The aromatic and essential oil-rich peels are left to dry naturally in the sun, according to the oldest traditions. In addition to the citrus fruits from Murcia, the recipe is completed with Tuscan juniper, Moroccan coriander, Chinese licorice, cassia, almonds, iris, grains of paradise, and Java pepper. The processes take place under the supervision of the Master Distiller, who oversees the entire process, ensuring a Gin of extraordinary finesse and purity.
The “Premier Cru” of Bombay Sapphire, inspired by the best tradition of London Dry Gins, was created to enhance and exalt especially the citrus components, which give a particular sensation of fragrance and freshness. Compared to the classic Bombay Sapphire, the label expresses a perfect balance between citrus and balsamic notes. To the eye, it is absolutely transparent and crystalline. The bouquet is intense and of great elegance, with the fragrances of ripe lemon, mandarin peel, sweet orange, floral nuances, herbal notes, and juniper berries in the foreground. The sip is soft and rich, enveloping and persistent, with a pleasantly balsamic and citrus finish.
