The Rifermentato in Bottiglia 'Fotonico'  is a semi-sparkling wine produced by the Borgoluce Venetian reality according to Ancestral Method, starting from local white berried varieties. The soils from which the grapes are harvested are calcareous, which gives particular aromatic finesse to the final product: this sparkling wine with a fine and persistent foam has fruity aromas of peach and citrus, like orange and on the finish there are pleasant resinous notes of cedar. In the mouth it is dry, savory, and of pleasant minerality. Ideal for cooling off, better with some fish dish on the side

“Fotonico” by Borgoluce is the bottle fermented wine that has the characteristic function of quenching thirst while enjoying moments of simple relaxation: straightforward and immediate interpretation of the grapes from the territory.

The Borgoluce estate produces “Fotonico” through the vinification of white grape varieties coming from the different plots of land owned, located in the territory of Susegana, the municipality in the province of Treviso that extends into the emblematic area of Conegliano, at the foot of the Collalto hills. The soils are loose with a strong limestone component, with evident skeletal presence, while the climate is temperate, characterized by constant ventilation and good annual temperature variation. The grapes are cultivated according to the dictates of organic farming and hand-harvested during the second decade of September: transported to the winery, they are destemmed and gently pressed using a pneumatic press. The must ferments in stainless steel tanks thanks to the inoculation of the estate's yeasts and is cooled upon reaching a residual sugar content of 10 grams per liter: the wine remains in aging on its own yeasts throughout the winter and will be bottled only in the following spring. The spontaneous sparkling process leads to the depletion of sugars and the formation of effervescence, according to the principles of the ancestral method. The process concludes with an additional aging of at least 3 months in the underground rooms of the winery.

“Fotonico” from the Borgoluce estate immediately presents a bright golden yellow color to the eye, thanks to the transparent glass of the bottle. The glass offers intense and ripe aromas of yellow-fleshed fruit and wildflowers, with sharp citrus nuances ranging from cedar to orange peel. The sip is pleasant and juicy, made dynamic by the fine effervescence and clear freshness, with a finish of present minerality. A bottle fermented wine that easily accompanies any early evening gathering, vegetable tempura or fresh cheeses.
