'Extra19' by Val delle Corti is a superb red wine produced by a historic organic winery in Chianti. It is a blend of barrels selected from those intended for the Riserva, in vintages deemed to be the most significant. This is not a wine of ostentatious power, but a deliberate attempt to capture the very essence of elegance and concentration in the bottle. On the nose, it is mature, with hints of wilted flowers, ripe fruit and sweet spices. On the palate, it has a subtle, long structure, with great smoothness and freshness. Perfect with a Florentine steak
