Georges Klein's Cremant d'Alsace is an Alsatian Classic Method, produced by a company with centuries of history in the area. The Upper Rhine area is ideal for the cultivation of various Pinots, and this wine is made partly from Pinot Blanc. On the nose there are typical aromas of brioche and the floral bouquet is very persistent. The Cremant d’Alsace Brut from the organic estate Georges Klein is a fresh and tasty sparkling wine made in Alsace in the town of Saint-Hippolyte, between Colmar and Strasbourg. For over 400 years, the Klein family has been connected to the Alsatian territory, cultivating vines and producing wine in Saint-Hippolyte. A fundamental value for the winery is sustainability, pursued by applying the principles of certified organic farming and promoting biodiversity. In fact, in the clos de K vineyard, the Kleins have planted various species of rare shrubs, encouraging the proliferation of a varied flora and fauna.
Georges Klein Cremant d’Alsace Brut consists of a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc from the estate's oldest vineyards. The vines, rooted in sandy soils rich in gravel, are managed under certified organic practices. In the winery, alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, with complete execution of malolactic fermentation as well. Once the base wine is made, it is added with liqueur de tirage for the "sparkling process according to the Classic Method, with 24 months of aging on the lees in the bottle. After disgorgement, the sparkling wine is dosed Brut with liqueur d’expedition, the secret recipe of which is closely guarded by the Klein family.
The Brut Cremant d’Alsace by Georges Klein has a pale straw yellow color with fine bubbles. The nose offers delicate hints of fresh white fruit, jasmine, and hawthorn, enriched by memories of butter, bread crust, and brioche. Excellent balance on the palate between creamy softness and citrus freshness, enhanced by a fine and numerous bubble that leads to a very aromatic and persistent finish, consistent with the sensations of the nose.
