The Cote Rotie "Chana" from the Duclaux winery is a seductive red wine from the Rhône Valley that delights refined palates with a silky sip. Made with a majority of Syrah grapes and a small portion of hand-harvested Viognier, it is fermented and aged in wooden barrels. On the palate, it is elegant and sinuous, rich in fruity aromas, mineral notes, and light smoky hints.

The Côte Rôtie "Chana" from Domaine Benjamin et David Duclaux brilliantly fits into the range of this renowned estate in the upper Rhône Valley, as the most fragrant and pleasantly harmonious version of Syrah. A delicate vinification and careful aging have allowed the lively and intense character of the grape to take center stage, softened by a long contact with wood. It is an elegant red, with a seductive and spicy sip, that can be enjoyed even when young, despite having a good aging potential. A label not to be missed if you want to experience the authentic face of Côte Rôtie.

“Chana” Côte Rôtie is born in a small family-run estate, which has been cultivating vines in this wonderful Appellation of the Rhône Valley for several generations. Domaine Benjamin et David Duclaux manages a property of just over five hectares in the Côte Blond area, characterized by lighter soils and famous for producing wines of extraordinary finesse and elegance. The vines are located at an altitude between 200 and 300 meters above sea level and are cultivated on steep terraces supported by dry stone walls. The sunny exposure facing south and southeast and the constant presence of the Mistral favor excellent ripening, also thanks to good temperature variations. As per the ancient tradition of the area, the cuvée is made with Syrah to which a small percentage of Viognier grapes is added to soften the wine's profile. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine then ages for about a year in used barrels, so as not to present woody notes.

blueberry, red currant, floral hints of violet, aromatic herbs, and delicate spices. With good structure, it has a mature and elegant tannic texture, a complex and enveloping sip, finishing with a harmonious, persistent finale and a final touch of black pepper and spices.
