Corton Grand Cru "Clos du Roi" from the Thibault Liger-Belair winery is a pure French Pinot Noir of great elegance and body, perfect for special occasions. The grapes with which it is made are harvested by hand from the Grand Cru of the same name, in the cellar it is aged between 14 and 18 months in barriques. The colour is bright ruby red while the scents released are reminiscent of small red berries and sweet oriental spices. The taste is full, decisive, harmonious, soft and long

The Corton Grand Cru “Clos du Roi” by Thibault Liger-Belair captures in liquid form the silky class of Corton in red, in a wine of extreme drinkability and salty drive. Another gem bottled by Thibault Liger-Belair, a true star of Burgundy wine, capable like few others of combining essential work in the vineyard and cellar with an unimaginable stylistic depth. Liger-Belair is a heavyweight name in the wine world, as Domaine Comte Liger-Belair has produced some of the most compelling expressions of red Burgundy, yet despite this, Thibault has chosen to embark on a personal journey, marked by rigorous choices regarding agriculture and cellar practices, applied to some of the most vocated parcels in the world for viticulture. The result speaks of deep wines rich in suggestions, yet also approachable and enjoyable for those who approach with reverence to the ''sacred'' Cote d'Or.

The Grand Cru Corton “Clos du Roi” is made from pure Pinot Noir grapes, coming from one of the most renowned lieux dits of a parcel classified as Grand Cru. In the vineyard, as already mentioned, work is done without forced interventions, excluding the use of any chemical and synthetic substances, and relying only on small quantities of copper, sulfur, and natural preparations. In the cellar, all alcoholic fermentations occur spontaneously and the liquids age between 14 and 18 months (depending on their denomination) in barriques, often used.

The Grand Cru “Clos du Roi” wine presents itself in the glass with a luminous ruby hue. A multifaceted and complex nose, with hints of blueberry, dog rose, and graphite. Despite a varied and vibrant aromatic profile, it is on the palate that the liquid gives its best, developing into a full, imposing sip and with considerable salty length. A great portrait of the Corton hill.
