Constel Lats red wine is a blend of Grenache, Carinena and Syrah from Catalonia. It is spontaneously fermented in steel and ages in the same tanks for a few months. With a cherry red mantle, it is expressed in fruity and Mediterranean tones, with spicy nuances, through an agile and fresh sip, of smoothed acidity and fruity returns

Constel-Lats aims to be a symbol that tells a story: under that name lies a wine, a winery, and a territory to be interpreted in the most direct way possible, without chemical filters or standards dictated by the market. Albert, a winemaker for over twenty years, and Alba, a biologist specialized in vine studies, are among the first protagonists of vinification without sulfites in the Priorat region.

Constel-Lats is a project that takes shape from the passion of a couple of wine enthusiasts rooted in the territory of Morera de Montsant, a vertical rocky wall that stretches for kilometers within the Priorat region and overlooks, parallel to the distant Mediterranean coast, the province of Tarragona. The vineyard extends for just over 1.5 hectares at an altitude of about 700 meters above sea level, with its back protected by the mountain and oriented towards the south and southeast. Part of the Garnacha, the undisputed queen of the house, comes from this area, along with other black berries Cariñena and Syrah, while another part comes from a plot located further south, in the warmer locality of Porrera, at about 450 meters above sea level. The extremely dry climate and the stony, poor soil force the vines to dig very deep with their roots, in search of nutrients and water, a true mirage at these heights. The harvest and all field operations are carried out by hand, while in the winery a consistent vinification is carried out, executed with whole clusters. Spontaneous fermentation by indigenous yeasts lasts, simultaneously with skin maceration, for 14 days in steel tanks, followed by the natural progression of malolactic fermentation. The aging on fine lees takes place in steel and lasts for 4 months. No manipulation, addition, or intervention is made during bottling.

Cherry red is the color of Constel-Lats by Albert and Alba. It has aromas of dried herbs and Mediterranean scrub, with delicious nuances of ripe red-fleshed fruit, spices, and earthy hints. Juicy and still fruity on the palate, it reveals a sunny and marine nature, composed of immediate freshness and touches of brackish salinity. Stewed meat or semi-aged cheeses are its ideal pairing.
