Cognac VSOP Vallein Tercinier
The Cognac VSOP Vallein Tercinier is a soft French spirit made from Ugni Blanc grapes and aged for at least 5 years in wood. It owes its smoothness and delicate vanilla notes, which accompany a very floral aromatic bouquet, to the aging process, while on the palate it offers a sweet, full and rounded sip
The Cognac VSOP Premium Selection from the French family-run estate Vallein Tercinier represents an expression of Cognac with a fascinating floral and vanilla aromatic profile. It is a distillate that reflects the established tradition of the Vallein Tercinier family, which has been engaged in producing high-quality Cognac for five generations, appreciated and awarded by critics worldwide and exported to every corner of the planet. Since the 1990s, Louis and Catherine Tercinier have continued the family business.
The VSOP Premium Selection Vallein Tercinier Cognac primarily originates from Ugni Blanc grapes sourced from the crus of Bons Bois, Fins Bois, and Petite Champagne. After harvesting, the grapes undergo a gentle pressing, followed by the alcoholic fermentation of the must carried out by indigenous yeasts for a duration of 2-3 weeks. The resulting wine, with an alcohol content of around 8%, is subjected to the process of double distillation in copper pot stills. This is followed by aging exclusively in oak barrels for a minimum period of 5 years before the blending of the Cognacs and the final bottling.
The color of the Vallein Tercinier VSOP Premium Selection Cognac is a bright and intense amber. The aromatic spectrum displays vivid yet delicate hints of flowers, dried fruit, and ripe fruits, enriched by vanilla notes due to the long aging in wood. The taste is soft and round, with remarkable smoothness, and a long final persistence on boisé sensations. The producer himself suggests enjoying his VSOP Cognac neat as a delightful after-dinner drink, even with ice, or as a base for exquisite cocktails that will benefit from the delicate aromatic vein of the distillate.
