The Cognac Napoleon Vallein Tercinier is a soft Cognac aged in wood for 15 years, and produced by distilling Ugni Blanc grapes from the Grande and Petite Champagne areas. Despite the long aging in wood, this Cognac expresses great freshness, balancing roundness, depth and elegance. Delicate and fragrant, to be enjoyed after dinner neat or on the rocks

The Cognac Vieille Réserve Napoléon by Vallein Tercinier is a distillate of majestic organoleptic depth, the result of prolonged aging in wood. This bottle is part of the selection ‘Les Classiques’, a collection that, as the name suggests, gathers Cognacs with the most classic and traditional style. The term ‘Napoléon’ refers to traditional denominations and identifies those Cognacs in which the youngest brandy present in the blend must have been aged for at least 6 years. This appellation dates back to when Napoleon brought with him during his exile on the island of Saint Helena several cases of Cognac.

Vallein Tercinier Cognac Vieille Réserve Napoléon comes from a blend of Ugni Blanc grapes from the crus of Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne. Following the harvest, the bunches undergo a classic white winemaking process through soft pressing and spontaneous alcoholic fermentation of the must. This is followed by double distillation in copper stills and then a long aging of at least 15 years in oak barrels for the youngest Cognac present in the blend. The blending operation is fundamental in defining the character of this distillate.

Upon visual examination, the Vieille Réserve Napoléon Cognac Vallein Tercinier shows an intense amber color. On the nose, pronounced notes of linden and vanilla emerge, blending with sensations of ripe fruit, candied fruits, and nuts. On the palate, it surprises with the balance between the tonic nature due to the presence of the younger brandies and the round softness of the older ones, elements that define a dry and slightly astringent progression capable of flowing with great dynamism on the palate. The recommendation is to enjoy this Cognac neat at the end of a meal to appreciate its many facets.
