The Champagne "Tradition" by Gaston Chiquet is produced from grapes harvested in Hautvillers, Dizy and Mareuil sur Aÿ Premier Cru. After an ageing for 30 months on the lees it expresses elegance, good complexity, freshness and well-balanced

The Champagne Brut Premier Cru “Tradition” by Gaston Chiquet is a product that flows smoothly in the mouth, highlighting a full and persistent sip during tasting. It strikes with the great consistency between aromas and flavors that occur between smell and taste, an element that contributes to giving balance and harmony to a traditionally styled label, where the blend includes the three varietals symbolizing the denomination, with a slight percentage predominance of Pinot Meunier. A must-try.

The “Tradition” Champagne Brut Premier Cru by Gaston Chiquet originates from a blend where we find 40% Pinot Meunier, 35% Chardonnay, and 25% Pinot Noir. These varieties are cultivated in the crus of Hautvillers, Dizy, and Mareuil sur Ay, lands characterized by the presence of limestone, clay, and gypsum. The must obtained after pressing undergoes a static decantation of 20 hours, and then ferments individually depending on the parcel of origin in temperature-controlled tanks, also undergoing malolactic fermentation. The refermentation with the prise de mousse occurs in the bottle, following the production rules of the Méthode Champenoise; the Champagne therefore remains on the lees for 30 months, before being disgorged, dosed, and bottled again.

The Premier Cru “Tradition” Gaston Chiquet is a Brut Champagne that presents itself visually with a light golden yellow color, with bubbles of good persistence. The range of notes perceived on the nose moves through clear and enveloping aromas, transitioning from fruit, expressed in various nuances, to hints of bread and yeast. On the palate, it has a good body, characterized by a sip of dry and refreshing taste, marked by a pleasant final persistence. A classic French bubble, where the balance between grape and terroir is admirable. Ideal to be enjoyed throughout the meal.
