The Champagne Brut Prélude “Grands Cru” is a refined and elegant label that encapsulates all the charm of the best Chardonnay and Pinot Noir sourced exclusively from the finest parcels, cultivated by Taittinger in various areas of the Champagne region. A glass intense, deep, fresh, and mineral, that perfectly encapsulates and narrates the style of the historic and renowned Maison of Reims. As in almost all Taittinger Champagnes, the Chardonnay plays a leading role in the Brut Prélude “Grands Cru”, highlighting a precise stylistic choice inspired by the concepts of finesse and elegance.
The Brut Prélude “Grands Cru” is born from a careful selection of the best grapes, coming exclusively from vineyards cultivated in locations classified as “Grands Crus ”. These are the 17 Villages that are historically recognized as the most vocated in the entire Champagne Region and represent a total area of 4,000 hectares out of approximately 34,000. The The cuvée is composed of Chardonnay (50%) and Pinot Noir (50%). Each single vineyard is vinified separately and only at a later stage is the blending carried out. The grapes are pressed very gently and only the first free-run juice is sent for fermentation for the production of vins clairs. After the creation of the cuvée, the Champagne matures on the lees for a minimum period of 5 years, reaching a perfect expressive maturity and great aromatic richness.
