Artisanal
Exclusive wineryThe Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo by Bossanova is a refreshing and tonic Abruzzese rosé wine made from Montepulciano grapes, aged in concrete tanks for 8 months. It has a delicate cherry pink color and expresses floral and fruity notes of currants, wild strawberries, raspberries, and Mediterranean aromatic herbs on the nose, while on the palate it is agile and fresh, with excellent saline persistence.
The Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo by Bossanova is a rosé made by a young and promising Abruzzese winery, which produces artisanal wines with great passion and expertise. It is a reality born from the desire to enhance the ancient winemaking tradition of the region, with wines that have a straightforward and direct character. The Cerasuolo fits perfectly into this vision and represents the most characteristic wine of the territory. It is a rosé with a rich and expressive character, intense and structured, true to the Abruzzese custom. It is a bottle with a strong personality, far from the trends of the moment, which tend to emulate the diaphanous and thin rosés of Provence.
The rosé Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo is the result of the fortunate meeting of two great wine enthusiasts, who decided to leave their respective careers as a manager and musician to dedicate themselves body and soul to the vineyard. The Bossanova estate extends over four hectares, in the area of the Teramane hills of Controguerra, in the province of Teramo. The vineyards are managed under biodynamic farming practices, without using chemical products or additives. The Montepulciano vines are cultivated at an altitude of 200 meters above sea level. At the end of the harvest, the grapes are softly pressed and the must is vinified in white with spontaneous fermentation and the use of only indigenous yeasts. The wine matures for 8 months in vitrified concrete tanks and is bottled without clarification, without filtration, and with a very low dose of sulfites.
The Cerasuolo Bossanova wine expresses very well the typical varietal notes of Montepulciano vinified in white (rosé). In the glass, it presents a bright cherry red color. The olfactory profile is characterized by fragrant fruity aromas of sour cherry, red currant, raspberry, wild strawberries, pomegranate, and slight spicy nuances. With good structure and great aromatic richness, it has a wide, ripe, soft, and juicy fruit, which unfolds in a harmonious and persistent sip. The finish is pleasantly fresh and fruity. Due to its characteristics, it is a gastronomic rosé, which pairs very well with pasta with flavorful tomato sauces, cold cuts, white meats and fish broths. To be tried with pizza.
