The Centesimino "Centuplo" is a velvety and intense red wine from the Romagna region. Aged in steel, it expresses notes of rose, spices, red-fleshed fruit, and herbal hints. The sip is broad, warm, and silky, with a light tannin.

“Centuplo” is an interesting territorial expression that Tenuta Santa Lucia dedicates to one of the most traditional and also forgotten grape varieties of Romagna: Centesimino. This label rightly represents one of the goals of the winery: the recovery of traditions and the defense of a rural heritage inherited from previous generations. Interesting and curious is the contrast with the modern graphics of the label.

“Centuplo” is born from Centesimino grapes grown in the property parcel of Tenuta Santa Lucia called Galgano, planted in 2003 with a remarkable planting density: there are in fact over 6,000 vines per hectare. The vineyard, cultivated according to the principles of biodynamic agriculture, is located in the municipality of Mercato Saraceno, home of the winery, at an altitude of 250 meters above sea level and is characterized by a clayey-loamy soil with a significant presence of skeleton. The harvest is carried out manually towards the end of September and the beginning of October, in climatic trends of the year. The bunches undergo a first selection already at the time of harvesting and are brought inside the winery, where the final sorting will take place, in small boxes. The spontaneous fermentation is carried out by only indigenous yeasts and occurs at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. The maceration on the skins lasts about 20 days. The subsequent aging lasts several months, always carried out in stainless steel containers.

The Centesimino “Centuplo” presents itself to the eye with a beautiful intense ruby red with violet reflections and an almost impenetrable appearance. On the nose, it offers pronounced hints of ripe red fruit, veined with a vegetal nuance reminiscent of dog rose. The floral notes present themselves in rather dark tones and then give way to beautiful spicy evidences, as well as a slight range of aromatic herbs. The tasting is intense and impacts with a invigorating caloric sensation. The dark and mature olfactory sensations are confirmed by a velvety softness, well supported by the tannic part, fine and persistent, and accompanied by a lively freshness. An excellent accompaniment for roasts and soft cheese.
