The “Casina” by Edoardo Sderci is produced by a Tuscan company based in Gaiole in Chianti, a municipality located in the province of Siena. The Sderci family has been passing down the passion and love for the production of wine of rare quality for generations: Alessandro and Andrea have inherited these qualities from their father Edoardo, focusing their work on respecting nature and the ecosystem surrounding the vineyards, in order to give the raw material the opportunity to express its intrinsic potential. The activity is carried out with a forward-looking perspective, aiming to project their work into the future.
The Sangiovese and Canaiolo grapes of the “Casina” by Edoardo Sderci develop on soils predominantly composed of limestone and clay for a final product with a characterful structure. Human intervention in the vineyard is kept to a minimum, in order to support the development phases of the plants and thus ensure an excellent ripening of the grapes: no pesticides, herbicides, or synthetic chemicals are used. The climate is continental with hot and sultry summers and harsh winters. The grape harvest is manual; in the winery, alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts occurs, followed by a maturation of a few months in steel tanks before being bottled.
To the eye, the “Casina” by Edoardo Sderci presents an intense ruby red with bright reflections; the bouquet of aromas recalls red fruits combined with the delicate scent of spices; on the palate, it is drinkable and juicy with a persistent fruity finish that invites you to drink. It is recommended to pair with dishes based on mixed cold cuts from the Tuscan tradition, first courses with rich sauces, and vegetarian dishes.
