The Cabernet Franc "Frank" by Marco Sara is a medium-bodied, soft, and fragrant red wine, with pleasant balsamic notes of mint and wild herbs, dynamic, with beautiful intensity, fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged for 12 months in barriques

The Cabernet Franc “Frank” by Marco Sara is a red wine with an intoxicating aromatic profile, which faithfully embodies the traits of the well-known Bordeaux grape variety without heaviness or superstructures. Among the artisanal wine producers of the Colli Orientali Friulani, Marco Sara is a certain point of reference, since in 2000 he took the reins of the family winery, giving it a push in a precise direction. A breath of freshness, along with a clear idea regarding the agronomic and cellar approach, led Marco to convert all the vineyards to organic farming without any chemical or synthetic substances interfering with the natural balance, continuing consistently in the cellar. True craftsmanship, combined with oenological expertise that allows Marco to obtain liquids with engaging expressiveness, yet always crafted and played on finesse.

The “Frank” Cabernet Franc is produced with pure grapes from the eponymous variety, coming from vines aged between 20 and 60 years that rest on soils rich in sandy marls. In the vineyard as already mentioned, the dictates of organic farming are followed, while in the cellar spontaneous alcoholic fermentation takes place in second-use barriques and a 20-day maceration on the skins. The liquid ages for 12 months always in used barriques and is bottled without undergoing clarifications or filtrations.

The wine “Frank” presents itself in the glass with an intense and luminous ruby color. The nose is enchanting and characterized by vegetal bursts that lead back to the varietal, with hints of tomato, rhubarb, cinchona, and friggitello. The sip is juicy and rhythmic, perfectly balanced between freshness and polished tannin, and endowed with remarkable persistence that fades into balsamic returns. Pure silk.
