"Les Charmes" is a Chardonnay from Burgundy of great finesse and class, aged exclusively in steel to best express the varietal notes of the grape. The nose is intoxicated by floral aromas of hawthorn, citrus, exotic fruit and a light note of butter. On the palate it has a clean, crisp and luminous texture, with a dynamic freshness that makes the sip agile and smooth

The Bourgogne Chardonnay “Les Charmes” by Thibault Liger-Belair is one of the rare white expressions from the extraordinary Burgundy winemaker, a sensual and charming wine, with an incredible quality-price ratio. Not only reds for Thibault Liger-Belair, among the most talented winemakers of the new Burgundy generation who, despite a rather heavy surname, has embarked on an extremely brilliant personal path, adopting precise choices aimed at enhancing the splendid plots available. In this regard, Thibault decides not to use chemical or synthetic substances in the vineyard, plowing the land with horses and only using small quantities of copper and sulfur, along with natural preparations. His hand then does the rest, and all the bottled liquids are deeply identifiable yet extremely enjoyable at the same time. A class act.

The “Les Charmes” Bourgogne Chardonnay is obtained from pure Chardonnay grapes, coming from vineyards located between Montagny and Lugny, which rest on soils that are partly calcareous and partly clayey. The different soil compositions give minerality and richness to the liquid, and the choice to work following the dictates of biodynamics enhances the expressive purity of the liquid, which sincerely expresses the vintage and territory. After spontaneous alcoholic fermentation, the wine ages in steel tanks for 14 months.

The Chardonnay “Les Charmes” presents itself in the glass with an intense straw-yellow color edged with golden reflections. Extremely typical and enticing nose, revealing notes of clarified butter, lemon, golden apple, and hawthorn. Bright and rhythmic in its progression, it also confirms on the palate with a sinuous and smooth dynamic, of extreme drinkability but always detailed and refined. A versatile companion at the table, it pairs satisfyingly with preparations based on raw fish, risottos with shrimp, or fresh cheeses. Wildcard.
