The Bolgheri Rosso "Clarice" is a red wine with a refined and structured personality that comes from a blend of international grapes and ages for 9 months in barriques. Notes of dark fruits, forest berries, toasted sensations, and light spicy nuances project from a warm, elegant, and bold body, characterized by well-defined tannins and vibrant freshness.

The Bolgheri Rosso “Clarice” by Dario di Vaira is a red wine that testifies to the extreme vocation of Bolgheri for blends based on international grapes, a true hallmark of the territory. Primary aromas blend with sensations derived from the aging period spent in wood, shaping a sip that appears round and refined in tasting, determined to embrace the palate with the right degree of warmth. A bottle to try when you feel like a classic international blend, born in the shadow of the Tuscan landscape.

The Rosso “Clarice” Bolgheri Dario di Vaira originates from the union of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah. The vines, whose average age is around 20 years, grow with the spurred cordon system in medium-textured soils rich in skeleton. The must ferments in steel containers, macerating on the skins at controlled temperature. Malolactic fermentation takes place subsequently, once the wine is transferred to barriques. The production process concludes with an aging of 9 months in second andthird passage

The “Clarice” Dario di Vaira moves in the glass with a shimmering hue, between not too dark ruby red and garnet. The small black berry fruit pervades the nose with moderately intense touches, enriched by spicy olfactory hints and notes of toasted wood. On the palate, it is full-bodied, with a warm entry in the mouth, where the silkiness of the tannic structure and the overall freshness are appreciated, a key element of a drinking experience that is both satisfying and smooth, never “heavy.” A label whose name recalls that of the vineyard that was first purchased by the Di Varia family – owners of the winery – from Count Giuseppe della Gherardesca, father of Clarice, who was in turn the wife of the legendary creator of Sassicaia, Mario Incisa della Rocchettata. An intertwining that therefore testifies to the absolute vocation of the terroir for the creation of high-level “supertuscans.”
