"Lequilibrio" by Montalbera is a Barbera d'Asti from Monferrato that ages in different types of wood. It stands out for its intense and fruity aromatic profile, rich in aromas of raspberry, currant, and underbrush, with hints of blue flowers, tobacco, and cocoa. The sip is animated by a seductive acidity, great freshness, and soft, measured tannin

The Barbera d’Asti Superiore "Lequilibrio" from the Montalbera winery is a rich and intense Piedmontese red. It is a particularly harmonious and elegant version of this historic and popular Piedmontese grape variety. Barbera is usually consumed young, but in this case, it is treated like a great red, with a long aging in barrique. The result surprises with aromatic complexity and a perfect balance between fruit, tannins, and freshness.

The red "Lequilibrio" is a Barbera d’Asti Superiore produced by Montalbera. The estate covers about 175 hectares, between the Langhe and Monferrato, in the municipalities of Grana, Castagnole Monferrato, and Montemagno. The vines are cultivated on the highest and sunniest exposures of the hills, with vines aged between 7 and 30 years. In the selection of grape varieties, the classic varieties of the region have been favored: Ruché, Moscato Bianco, and Barbera. The latter is cultivated in the areas of Castagnole Monferrato and Montemagno, with low Guyot training. At the end of the harvest, the grapes are sent for fermentation in stainless steel and the wine rests in barriques, tonneaux, and large French oak barrels for a period that can vary from 10 to 15 months depending on the vintage. Before being released on the market, it ages for a few months in the cellar.

The Barbera d’Asti Superiore “Lequilibrio” from the Piedmontese winery Montalbera is a very interesting label, allowing you to discover the more complex and long-lived face of a Barbera aged in wood. The color is intense ruby red, with good intensity. The bouquet recalls aromas of dark berry jam, currants, blackberries, hints of underbrush, and nuances of cocoa and chocolate. On the palate, it has a good body, with a juicy and intense mid-palate. The tannins are soft, and the finish is long, with a savory and fresh closure.
