Ampeleia is the flagship wine of the winery of the same name, a pure Cabernet Franc stunning by definition and complexity. Ampeleia is now an established reality in the world of artisanal wine, a significant example of how one can maintain a coherent production line despite a significant number of bottles produced and cultivated hectares. The vineyards are planted near the metalliferous hills of Grosseto and are cultivated with great sensitivity, excluding the use of chemicals or synthetic substances, and with a focus on biodiversity, an essential element to respect the balance of nature. The choice of grape varieties planted, although it may seem unusual, has met expectations, as Alicante, Carignano, and Cabernet Franc express themselves extraordinarily. The resulting liquids are warm and generous, but never lack finesse.

The red Ampeleia is a pure expression of Cabernet Franc, coming from vineyards cultivated at about 550 meters above sea level. In the vineyard, the principles of biodynamics are followed to preserve the vitality of soil and plants and respect the natural balance of the system. In the cellar, spontaneous alcoholic fermentations continue in cement tanks, and aging takes place for 6 months always in cement and for 6 months in large barrels.

The Ampeleia wine presents itself in the glass with its intense and impenetrable ruby hue. The nose, rich and varied, smells of bramble blackberry, blackcurrant, cut grass, and dark spices. In continuous evolution, while maintaining its innate elegance intact, it is always versatile and changing.
